Freedom & Healing for God's Children
Jesus said, 18 “The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim liberty to the captives [freedom/deliverance from physical and spiritual bondages and prisons] and recovering of sight to the blind [healing and spiritual eyes opened], to set at liberty those who are oppressed [freedom/deliverance from physical and spiritual oppression], 19 to proclaim the year of the Lord's favor.” (Luke 4:18-19 ESV)
But to all who did receive him [Jesus Christ], who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God (John 1:12 ESV)
See what kind of love the Father has given to us, that we should be called children of God; and so we are. (1 John 3:1 ESV)
16 The Spirit himself bears witness to our spirit that we are God’s children. 17 And if children, then heirs (namely, heirs of God and also fellow heirs with Christ) ... 21 the glorious freedom of God’s children [God's ultimate goal for His children] (Romans 8:16-17,21 NET)

Why we chose the name "Children's Bread"
Jesus in Matthew 15 relates freedom and healing to the phrase "the Children's Bread" which is specifically reserved for God's children, the children of faith.
22 And behold, a Canaanite woman from that region came out and was crying, “Have mercy on me, O Lord, Son of David; my daughter is severely oppressed by a demon.” 23 But he did not answer her a word. And his disciples came and begged him, saying, “Send her away, for she is crying out after us.” 24 He answered, “I was sent only to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.” 25 But she came and knelt before him, saying, “Lord, help me.” 26 And he answered, “It is not right to take the children's bread and throw it to the dogs.” 27 She said, “Yes, Lord, yet even the dogs eat the crumbs that fall from their masters' table.” 28 Then Jesus answered her, “O woman, great is your faith! Be it done for you as you desire.” And her daughter was healed instantly.
Children of God by Faith in Jesus Christ
Jesus says I am “the bread of life” in John 6:32-48. Jesus is saying that true life comes through Him and not through physical foods like bread. The food called manna, which God gave the Israelites, came down from heaven and sustained their physical bodies as a physical food. But when Jesus came down from heaven to earth, and died for our sins and was resurrected so that we might live forever, His body became spiritual food to give us spiritual life. When we accept Jesus Christ as our Lord and savior God the Father sees us as His children (1 John 3:1). As God’s children we are eligible to receive, in Jesus' words, the children’s bread – freedom from bondage and captivity and physical and emotional healing (Isaiah 61:1-3, 42:7, 49:8, 58:6; Psalm 146:7-8; Luke 4:18-19).

Ours is a Ministry and a Message of Reconciliation.
18 And all these things are from God who reconciled us to himself through Christ, and who has given us the ministry of reconciliation. 19 In other words, in Christ God was reconciling the world to himself, not counting people’s trespasses against them, and he has given us the message of reconciliation. Ministry of Reconciliation
We help fellow Christians fully realize their glorious freedom as God's children in Christ Jesus.
...the glorious freedom of God's children (Roman 8:21)
“Therefore, since we have so great a cloud of witnesses surrounding us, let us also lay aside every encumbrance, and the sin which so easily entangles us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of faith, who for the joy set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God”.
God offers us complete spiritual freedom. Our responsibility is to acknowledge and confess our sin (1 John 1:9) and the lies we have believed (2 Thes 2:7-12) and repent by turning away from our sin (Acts 20:26...), resisting temptations and accusations (James 4:7...) and exposing deceptions by believing the truth (John 8:32...).
